Nice summer weather, so let's go to the Hohenwarte. I was picked up on the way and the last piece was taken away in the car. 😅

The "Rennsteigwarte" is the only observation tower (33 meters high) directly on the Rennsteig with a wonderful view.

A nice after-work tour past the ICE route and lakes from Langewiesen to the Heyda reservoir, including a short swimming break.
It was back on Diana's way to work, the Ilm Rennsteig cycle path to Groß Breitenbach, and then to the Schwarzatal.

Passing the bulge pond we went to Neuhaus, where the Christoph 60 has just landed. On the Rennsteig it was only 6 °C when it was raining and I would have liked gloves. 🥶 The view steeply into the valley from the Teufelskanzel was beautiful. I cycled back home past the Leibis Dam and the Fröbel Tower.

Today we went past the lower reservoir of the Goldisthal pumped storage plant up to the Rennsteig, a loop around the Scheibe-Alsbach drinking water dam and via the Dreistromstein and Neuhaus back home.

Today's destination was the Ködeltalsperre. First a piece along the Rennsteig and then to roll through the forest to Sonneberg. From there it is so wonderful on the cycle paths in the districts of Sonneberg and Kronach. The way home led again over the Rennsteig through Steinbach am Wald to Neuhaus.
