Best Hikes to Wörth Castle Ruins

Tips

  • Wörth Castle was built on the chard stone around 900.
Not much is left of her. The castle was used, among other things, as a quarry for the construction of the city wall.
The railway line runs right in front of the castle, which, like the castle, is now only history.

  • On the west side there is a modern small open-air theater, which cleverly builds in the somewhat gloomy rock as a backdrop. Together with the neighboring wild herb garden, an atmospheric staging.
