The highest point of the Sudelfeld Pass is rather inconspicuous and is reached quickly after 5km from Bayrischzell. The previous / further course of the pass offers great views of the surrounding mountains. Especially recommendable: The long beautiful descent to Brannenburg. Up to 18% gradient, a one-lane tunnel and a wild and romantic valley await a😍 !!

  • Here's uphill, but also with proper traffic. Especially in fine weather and on Sundays many cars and motorcycles are on the way. But the roads are wide enough to be safe.

If you are made of iron, the altitude can also be increased by cycling to the Walleralm or to the Lacherlam / Soinhütte.

  • Here the journey is definitely the goal. The top of the pass itself is quite unspectacular. On both sides of the summit there is a parking lot to take a breather, which is usually frequented by tourists and motorcyclists, so that they can take a photo of the lovely landscape ...

  • Sudelfeld is one of the racing bike passes that are simply a must in the area. Great views, on nice days at the weekend unfortunately also a lot of traffic.

  • So I missed the sign of the pass height smoothly. Lickii has already said everything, I can fully confirm (by the way the tunnel is lit).

  • Sudelfeld is just a MUST if you drive in the region racing bike. The driveway from the Inn Valley is longer and more challenging than the west side. If you drive up from Bayrisch Zell, then you only have to cope well with half. The exit should then make to Niederaudorf, not to Brannenburg, because it is not for everyone, 16% gradient through a single-lane rock tunnel to cope. The Sudelfeld you should do more during the week, then the pass is fine to drive. At the weekend are just too many motorcycles and cars on the way. The beauty, the Sudelfeld pass can be traveled early, where other mountain areas, such as Valepp are still deeply covered by snow.

  • That is correct, the most beautiful views are a few hundred meters in the direction of the Inntal, because you can see well in the Tyrolean Alps.

  • The pass itself is in a bend and pretty unremarkable. The actual beautiful view is a few hundred meters to the east, where the large parking lots are. It pays to take a few minutes break and enjoy the panorama.
