Homburg Castle was built around 1680. The complex is surrounded by a stately castle park. The hallmark of the castle is the "White Tower", the accessible keep. The palace complex is open to visitors all year round. A ticket including a guided tour costs 5 euros. If you only want to climb the tower, you pay 2 euros.

A walk through the beautiful old town with its half-timbered houses is also worthwhile. Here you will find many cozy cafes and restaurants.

A beautiful place with a castle and some towers. Special of the White Tower, which is the landmark of the city. Several churches worth seeing and a great old town.

Bad Homburg is rich in history and special features that can be seen in many places in the townscape, particularly beautiful to see in the old town: winding streets and half-timbered houses. It almost turned out differently, because the old half-timbered houses were actually supposed to be completely demolished in the 1970s and replaced by modern residential buildings. Fortunately, however, these plans disappeared back into the drawer. Instead, the owners of the houses started renovating and transformed the area next to and below the Bad Homburg Castle into a very special part of the city.
