  • The Neusaßer Linde
    is a natural monument in Neusaß near the pilgrimage chapel Neusaß, which belongs to the monastery Schöntal, a district of Schöntal. The summer bark (Tilia platyphyllos) has an age of about 300 to 500 years and a trunk circumference of 8.62 meters. Until 1876, the Linde market took place for several centuries and until 1978, its crown carried a platform. The linden tree has been professionally refurbished several times over the past 35 years. The Deutsches Baumarchiv counts the lime tree among the "nationally significant trees (NBB)
