The Neusaßer Linde
is a natural monument in Neusaß near the pilgrimage chapel Neusaß, which belongs to the monastery Schöntal, a district of Schöntal. The summer bark (Tilia platyphyllos) has an age of about 300 to 500 years and a trunk circumference of 8.62 meters. Until 1876, the Linde market took place for several centuries and until 1978, its crown carried a platform. The linden tree has been professionally refurbished several times over the past 35 years. Natural monument. Beautifully located in the idyllic Neusass. Hiking trails into the Jagsttal are available in the immediate vicinity.
