Oybin is always worth a visit. The village, enclosed by mountains, has its special charms. The narrow-gauge railway, the Oybin mountain with its castle ruins, the small mountain stream and the many small restaurants are highly recommended. Here I would particularly like to recommend the Kleine Burg. This cozy restaurant near the train station is located in the oldest building in Oybin. If you like aspic with fried potatoes, you will get your money's worth here 100 percent. In addition, Oybin is always an excellent starting point for wonderful tours in and around the Zittau Mountains.

There are many small and large discoveries here. Even I, who has lived nearby for around 12 years, haven't discovered everything yet. It is always worthwhile to take a look at the mountain and the town of the same name, Oybin, and the surrounding area. The many mostly family-run pubs, restaurants and stalls that can be found here - well - almost everywhere and wait for your appetite ... have a look for yourself ...

A pretty place: half-timbered houses, strolling paths, cafes and tourist rip-offs. Absolutely worth seeing: the mountain church from 1734. Above, the castle (or its remains, 13th century) watches over the place. Another highlight is the ruins of the Gothic church (14th century, Prague cathedral building!). Admission is not without it with 12/8 €.
