Mountain biking
Walkenried Monastery, a former Cistercian abbey, includes the ruins of the monastery church and the largely preserved Gothic cloister building. This was converted into a museum in 2006. Since 2010, the monastery complex has been part of the Upper Harz Water Management UNESCO World Heritage Site.
