A new bridge over the White Elster is being built here. The access to the chemical plant must always be accessible. Even at high tide. In 2013 the water could not drain through the old bridge. It was too tight and looked like a bottleneck. In addition to the bridge, the Elster is given a wider river bed so that it can flow more slowly and has more space, even during high water. Now you can see what kind of flora is settling on the new bank edge.

A new bridge over the White Elster was built here in 2020. It is the access road to the chemical plant. In 2013, the water could not drain sufficiently through the old bridge. It was too narrow and acted like a bottleneck. The water flowed several meters high over the road. With the longer steel bridge and the now widened riverbed, a once-in-a-century flood is coming through below. In the wider riverbed, the water now flows more slowly.
