The Köhlersteig is an approx. 9 km long climb from the Göltzsch Viaduct to Greiz. If you want to take the charcoal tips with you, you have to be a bit careful.

The Köhlersteig leads over 9 kilometers through the lower Göltzschtal through a wonderful low mountain range landscape. The trail is named after the philosopher and local historian Johann August Ernst Köhler (1829 – 1903). It goes over narrow winding paths and stairs. Viewpoints with seating are always reached. What is fascinating here is the combination of the rustic trail in a romantic low mountain range landscape with the view of a railway viaduct in strict brick construction.
