Well worth it, also and especially for the little ones. The Barbary macaques literally eat one's hand but are still cautious. Respectful treatment goes without saying.

The home of Barbary apes is Morocco and Algeria.
There they also live in mountainous regions up to altitudes of 2000 meters. The climatic conditions are very similar, so that the Barbary monkeys on Monkey Mountain feel really comfortable and can live in the open all year round.
The optimal attitude at the monkey mountain allows the animals a natural life. The visitors not only experience the lively monkeys in natural surroundings, but can also observe their natural behavior.
The babies of the Barbary monkeys are born in May.

"... It is a unique experience, because on Affenberg Salem you are in the midst of almost 200 Barbary macaques and without any separating bars or ditches! They live here on a 20 hectare forest, as if in the wild. ..."
