The Engeweiher is located in the vicinity of ecologically managed agricultural areas on the hiking trail between Mendlishausen (Affenberg) and Deisendorf.
In 2005, two amphibian pools were created in the north between the pond and the forest.
From the edge of the forest, the waters are in front of the En antlers, so that the animals migrating from the summer habitat and wintering area of the forest can find fish-free spawning waters there.
