Thanks to the lady of the castle and her family, special activities take place here again and again - the garden festivals that have been taking place since 1998, a novelty in Germany at the time, are outstanding. The Ippenburg Gardens are open every Sunday until August 29 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in 2021.

Imposing property, entry is not cheap

It was Ippenburg Castle that established the German garden festival tradition 25 years ago. First of all, it now also marks the end for itself. After almost 25 years of hosting internationally famous garden festivals, Schloss Ippenburg has taken the Corona year 2020 as an opportunity to rethink its concept. From 2021, the Ippenburg Gardens will no longer be the backdrop, but the main actor. Away from the hustle and bustle of the festival, you can finally enjoy them undisturbed and explore them individually.
From May 1st to the end of August 2021, the castle park will be open on all Sundays and public holidays with its themed gardens, picnic areas and the family-run garden shop and cafe.
The huge kitchen garden, the rosarium, the wilderness with its incredible variety of insects, birds and plants, the medicinal herb garden, the shady forest island and the castle café with homemade delicacies made it possible to experience the unmistakable Ippenburg flair in its purest form.

Ippenburg Castle is always worth a visit, the surroundings are beautiful. When it is open you can take a look at the beautiful castle garden and buy a few plants for your own garden if necessary.

Originated in the first half of the 14th century. Well worth seeing, please pay attention to the opening times.
