They still exist, the sparsely populated regions :-) too bad we couldn't get any eggnog, we were 15 minutes too late. Beautiful half-timbered houses along the route, a great golf course, charming sections of the route and a great beer garden 3 km before the end.

Beautiful quiet tour through a region characterized by agriculture, hardly any other cycling traffic. Nicely located beer gardens. To finish, by car to the Friedrichshöhe above Steinhagen for 2 non-alcoholic wheat beers and a tasty snack ... to round off the wonderful day.

The "Schwaghoftreff" is wild. On the one hand, it looks totally abandoned, on the other hand, it's in the process of being renovated (e.g., partly newly installed windows, partly newly plastered rooms), but all the recently present construction workers seem to have suddenly fled for unknown reasons
