For those interested in aviation, the Musée de l'Aviation Militaire de Payerne is recommended. However, it is located a little outside the city. clindailes.ch

Whether on foot or by bike, the central area of the old town is closed to other traffic and is therefore ideal for seeing the sights (castle and church as well as adjacent streets, etc.). Allow enough time.

Payerne is known above all for the eponymous military airfield of the Swiss Air Force, which is well visible from the highway. In particular, the flying days that take place here are known, each of which attracts numerous visitors. It often goes to forget the beautiful town, which is also worth a visit. The city center of Payerne can be reached on foot from the train station in a few minutes. Since the 3rd century, the place has been inhabited by the Romans. Previously, the Celts were in this area. In the center of the city are two churches. One is the abbey church Notre Dame and the other is the Reformed parish church.
