About Eric 🖖
Carpe bike!

A perfect day on the Jura heights with a wonderful view of the sea of fog and the Alps. What more do you want. These places have a very special charm in late autumn and look different than in summer. That probably has a lot to do with the warm light and the less lush green of the mats, which creates a very special atmosphere. The descent from the Spitzberg ridge (Mont Sujet) is on the north-facing flank, so it is shady, fairly damp and tends to be slippery. Not very sparkling. In the colder months of the year it is usually frozen all the time, even without snow.To the east of the Jura House, I once again lost my navigation at times, so it looks like a helicopter flight. The trail after the Jura house is very winding, narrow and technical. So over a certain distance it is not that flowing, but still a cool thing if you want to get involved. All in all a great day. Probably one of the last of its kind in autumn - in this very unusual year for all of us.

Since the cable car from Reigoldswil up to Wasserfallen has been overhauled since November 2nd (4 weeks), I had the hope that fewer people would be found on the way to the popular excursion destination. That was not the case, but the sun and autumn mood was still tempting.
The tour follows the official route of Bikebaselland (bikebaselland.ch) and Tourismus BL, but offers many possibilities for your own variations and additional 'dangling' on this or that ridge or fluh. Nice tour, even if it gets a bit wetter like now in late autumn - even if I have to treat myself and my bike to a warm, cleansing bubble bath ... 🛀 ... (my bike in the figurative sense at least ...)

A refreshing autumn tour, on the trail of Urs with a few variations - Merci for the tip! (komoot.de/tour/222567730)
At the Monto height I was really 'gone with the wind', even if neither Scarlett nor Rhett were involved. Rather, a couple of heavy gusts that almost swept me off the bike. After that it got a little more peaceful.
In addition to Mont Monto, I particularly liked the "Chemin des amoureux" - I didn't know it before. However, no lovers met me on the trail, I was still amazed.
Otherwise a wonderful autumn day, not sunny as advertised, but with the humid, seasonal aromas in the forest and the thick carpets of leaves on the trails.

The first little ride on the new eBike 'delivered' today, after a few modifications were made. What could be more obvious than comparing well-known sections with the previous feeling. We still have to get to know each other better, but that felt really great today.
That could be the beginning of a wonderful friendship .... 🤗

Today's tour led us in the first section through the plain of the Limpach valley. Relatively flat but varied up to the Emme. The Buechibärg, as always, with a beautiful view of the Alps and crisscrossed with some easy trails.
A wonderful late summer tour.

Various paths lead up to the Chasseral, as well as down again. Most, however, on the south and west sides. So far I have hardly tried it down on the north side. It's time to explore. My Explorer drive is awake. So much in advance: an adventurous and MTB sporty challenging experience. Nobody's around these days, so you're completely alone and abandoned .... sniff ....
Nevertheless, the Pré-aux-Auges Trail has it all. A challenge, so if you want to try it out, please don't underestimate it, but it's a great thing. Jura trailing at its best! Otherwise you shouldn't let yourself be stopped by what feels like 1000 cow gates and other barriers.
All in all, a tour with a series of single trails with very different characters.By the way, read an interesting article today:
ride.ch/de/news/mit-dem-neuen-jagdgesetz-droht-ein-singletrail-verbotIf the law is passed, then a large part of today's tour - at least the part north of the Chasseral - is no longer accessible to mountain bikes and is forbidden. I didn't know and wasn't really communicated. 😟
Heavy forest or agricultural machines are therefore no problem for these zones, MTB apparently is. A rogue who suspects completely different interests behind it ...
