Here is a bridge over the Stekense vaart that is used by walkers/cyclists to cross. The F41 also runs over this bridge, connecting Antwerp via Beveren, Sint-Gillis-Waas, Moerbeke-Waas and Wachtebeke with Zelzate. On the old railway embankment, the F41 crosses the Waasland in a straight line.

The Stekense Vaart or the Stekene Canal (4.6 km) is a canal that connects the Moervaart with Stekene. In the past, the canal extended to Hulst and had an important economic function. Surrounded by quiet areas along both banks, the Stekense Vaart now forms the setting for soft recreation.
