The Augustus Bridge spans the Elbe River and connects the historic Old Town with the Neustadt. From many points – especially from the Brühlsche Terrasse or the Elbe promenade – you have an impressive view of the bridge.
The current sandstone bridge dates from the early 20th century and stands on the site of older predecessors. Together with the Dresden Old Town silhouette, it offers a typical panorama with baroque architecture and river landscape.
