On the plateau is the Jaberg Tower, built in 1931 by the Franz Staat construction company, a 13.2 m high observation tower that was later equipped with radio masts.
The stories about the Jaberg go back to the Stone Age. The mountain is said to be the grave of Attila, king of the Huns, who is said to be buried here in his golden armor and in a golden coffin.
