Best Hikes to Kieler Bach Waterfall and Chalk Cliffs

Tips

  • The Kieler Bach is one of the most famous streams in Jasmund National Park. Its name comes from the hilly wedge it forms together with the Brisnitzer Bach. It plunges down with a four-meter-high waterfall and empties directly onto the beach – an impressive natural experience!

  • Below the impressive steep bank, the path runs directly along the sea to Sassnitz.

  • The view from the beach to the chalk cliffs is gigantic. However, contrary to some statements, there is NO circular route along the Kiel shore / beach in the direction of Königstuhl / Victoria view, online or on site. Once you are on the beach you have to use the stairs again at the Kieler Bach, otherwise you won't get back up into the forest.
