By car to the chalk cliffs in the "Jasmund National Park" on Rügen. From the car park to the Königsstuhl, the trail is three kilometers long. Admission here is 8, 50 € per person or for the family 17 € (2015) only for the "Königsstuhl and Visitor Center". The rest of the national park is free admission. Example you can go to Victoria viewpoint. From here you have a great view of the Königsstuhl. There is also the possibility to go down an endless long staircase to the sea and admire the king's chair and the chalk cliffs from below. Back it goes through a very beautiful beech forest with a few kl. Lakes like the away, to the parking lot.

The term Viktoria point of view is due to the Crown Princess Victoria of England. King William I - the later Kaiser Wilhelm I - named after a morning walk on June 10, 1865, this magnificent view of his daughter-in-law.

I have heard two stories about the naming of the Könogsstuhl:
1. A king from Sweden is reported to have been following a naval battle sitting on a chair.
2. To choose a king, applicants had to climb through the chalk from the bottom up. Whoever arrived first or ever became king.

The imposing chalk coast with the famous Königsstuhl in the Jasmund National Park is the symbol of the island of Rügen and for many vacationers the highlight among the sights. The hike along the Hochuferweg from Sassnitz to Lohme past the famous Königsstuhl offers unique views of the Baltic Sea and the chalk coast and is one of the most beautiful hiking trails on the island.

By foot taxi from Lohme we could already collect on the way to the Königsstuhl and the Victoria prospect the most beautiful impressions. Just with the mass from the parking lot to the views - Horror 1🙈🙈🙈
The step onto the viewing platform costs a bit of courage

Only space for 1-2 people on the small platform, calculate waiting time because always well attended.
Well-known and advertised vantage point, which is easily accessible. If you want to see the chalk cliffs in all their splendor and fascination, this is wrong!

If you want to queue up to shoot your "I-War-Da-Foto", you could do it. Since users of this app are probably going much further than from the parking lot here, other locations along the high-waterway offer far more spectacular views and opportunities for great photos.
