Schloßbrunnen Quarry

The Schlossbrunnenbruch is still an active quarry, entry is prohibited. Here is an information board of the quarry hiking trail, which leads through six quarries (Lenks-Bruch, Alberts-Bruch, Schoberts-Bruch (Steinhauerhütte), Geyers-Bruch, Blauer Bruch, Schloßbrunnen-Bruch) and provides information about previous granite processing with the help of information boards, the length is about 3.5 km. The hiking trail, also suitable for cycling, leads past old walls and large tailings to six quarries, a powder chamber, a protective shelter and a loading ramp at the foot of the Epprechtstein.
