The number three seems to play a special role in the Königsheide. In addition to the Dreihirtenstein and the Drei-Forstreviere-Stein, there is also a Drei-Jungfern-Brunnen. The stone-covered spring got its name from an old legend: three daughters of a gentleman von Weidenberg then got lost in these vast forests. After dark they finally had to spend the night in the solitude of the forest. In the morning they found this spring very close by to quench their thirst and the ringing of church bells then led them back to Weidenberg.

Despite the constant rain (for about 2 weeks), the fountain is only full on the inside. Nothing flows at the outlet. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful corner with an interesting legend.
