There are 3 views of the Rhine at the Alten Kuhweg.
Once at the Hagelkreuz with several benches and a view towards Lorch, from there a few meters away another bench with a view in the other direction (Assmannshausen), and a little higher with the IMHO best view towards Lorch.The Kuhweg is one of the oldest paths in Niederheimbach. As early as the 18th century, farmers and winegrowers used it to get from the Rhine to their fields and vineyards. It meanders through the old town center, past the Heimburg and the castle nursery, up to the heights above Niederheimbach.November 6, 2019
It is worth to make a short detour-after about 10.5 km not directly go to the cross but slightly turn left to the rest area with a beautiful view
