The hollow stone cave is the largest cave in the Lippe region. With a total length of 350 meters and a maximum height of 50 meters, it is one of the most important wintering locations for bats from the entire region. The cave beetle that occurs here is also a specialty. The cave is under strict protection and is not open to the public.

The largest cave in Lippe is the Hohlsteinhöhle, which is 47 m high and 185 m long.
A cave beetle that does not exist anywhere else in the world has also lived here since the last ice age. 👍

Caves and gorges have always thrilled people, as the old legends and legends about Kohlstädt prove. Hohlsteinhöhle, Lukenloch, Bielsteinschlucht and Langes Tal are some destinations on this glacial embossed hike. On mystical to romantic paths, we get to know the history of the Eggegebirge and the Teutoburg Forest impressively. Who eagerly awaits the spring, is exactly right here. Colorful flower carpets, intense garlic-smelling beech forests and ancient, eerie tree shapes are here to discover at every turn. However, the constant uphill and downhill requires a bit of fitness.
