One of the most beautiful places in the Teutoburg Forest is the Silberbachtal. The valley is not only called that because the water of the river often shimmers silver when it flows over the dark streambed. In the 18th century, silver was actually searched for here. Virtually nothing was found, but because of the stream, many mills have settled in the area.
