The Bielstein Gorge is a gorge through which you can go from the hiking trail to the Bielstein Cave. The Bielstein Gorge is a collapsed ruin. The Bielstein is made of limestone and because limestone is washed away by water, the gorge was formed at some point when part of the mountain collapsed. The walls are made of light, heavily fissured limestone. And so they rise up to 15 m. It is assumed that the Bielstein Gorge was a long cave in earlier times. Today, however, it is a gorge. In the rear area on the left is today's Bielstein Cave. It is considered an archaeological monument. In winter, i.e. from September to May, the Bielstein Cave is reserved for bats.

A visit to the Bielstein Gorge is definitely worth it. It is very impressive for this landscape. The collapsed cave is around 300 m long, 20 m wide and 15 m deep and stretches between partially overhanging rocks.
