The Hahnentanger Mühle, built in 1864, is located on the 1st Südwieke, about three kilometers from the Rhauderfehner Unterende. In 1982 the Dutch mill was bought and restored by the community of Rhauderfehn. In 1991 the development association "Hahnentanger Mühle e.V." was founded. You can find more information at

Mill lovers, make a detour to this old lady! Even better: do the Ostfriesland mill tour.

Today, the mill is a popular destination for many visitors to our beautiful East Frisian homeland. Like church towers, mills are landmarks that provide orientation even from afar.
The Mühlenverein Hahnentange has set itself the task of tending, preserving and filling it with new life.
The mill is regularly open to visitors, markets are organized and festivals are celebrated. And on Sundays you can choose the neighboring Müllerhaus as a destination for coffee, tea and cake.
We share the Müllerhaus with the KULTURRING and KUNSTKREIS RHAUDERFEHN. exhibiting the work of its active members.
