Holter Hammrich Relief Polde

The section of the route described here on the left along the Leda actually begins behind the Leda bridge before Leer as soon as you turn off the main road and actually ends at the main Fehn Canal on the road to Potshausen. Running south-east, the path continues in the same manner to the center of Ostrhauderfehn. To the northwest, the path only takes us further if we follow the B70 south for 1 kilometer and then turn right towards Esklum. from here it goes to the Ems.
The highlight of this section of the route, and this is its crucial importance, is the arrival in the bird sanctuary "Holter Hammrich". Here we are confronted with a unique refuge for more than 60 species of birds. A worthwhile excursion destination that is also worth long distances.

We really enjoyed the walk along the Leda. Our tour "Land between the streams" This HL should be better named "Entlastungspolder Holter Hammrich" 😉But that's always the problem when the HL is set for a section rather than at specific points. This HL is easy to reach with any type of bike and on foot.
