The Duke's Pyramid has nothing whatsoever to do with this park as it was moved here in 1934 together with 2 other obelisks as adornment.
More the irony as these three ‘monuments’ at Trent Park are nowadays associated with this park, erroneously implying a bound shared history.

A mute sentinel ever since, bookending the Duchess' pillar at the opposite end of the lime-treed carriageway approach.
