Clissold Park was opened in 1889 and has been a much-loved place for recreation and relaxation ever since. The park has held a Green Flag award since 2006, which is awarded to the very best green spaces in the country.

You can find a variety of things here: playgrounds, sports fields, a bowling green, a skatepark bowl, tennis courts, a café and a small area with animals.

The cafe has excellent pastries to complement the coffees and teas. There is a water bowl for your dog too. Below the cafe are well maintained toilets and a water fountain to fill your water bottle. The park is well maintained though the rubbish belongs are mainly in areas not allowing dogs which make things more difficult than they need to be. Overall a great place to visit for about 2 hours though you might linger longer if you have kids. Great playground and I believe there is a skatepark.
