The animals are not scary and used to photographing cyclists :-)

Very relaxing route (except in headwinds) in Vordeichgebiet, well-developed paved bike paths, only interrupted by sheep's gates, which are in contrast to the formerly usual Schafstreppen easy to deal with a loaded bike or e-bike - and of course many sheep and some cows directly on the surfaces.

The bike path always leads with views of the Elbe estuary partly through an industrial area but in total with stop at a viewing platform near the thick Berta with interesting impressions. You can see the Elbe estuary as far as Cuxhaven

This route takes cyclists directly through the sheep. That's one thing for the kids! Stop and wait for the sheep to come. Nowhere do children sheep come as close as here.

The two donkeys serve as protection against wolves.

You have to experience that: a lot of sheep, also on the bike path. The sheep always have a "crosswalk" under their feet. You have right of way. Are very friendly. Do not think that sheep is about to go aside - it will probably stop. So: very interesting and especially for children

The North Sea and - with the Wadden Sea - one of the largest UNESCO World Heritage Sites are literally on the doorstep. Hanseatic cities show themselves in the splendor of historical buildings, heather and geest landscapes alternate with marshland and moorland.

From here a top view of the Elbe including ships. Driving through the flock of sheep is cool. The tires are full of chips afterwards
