The Fleckenstein is only about 200 m southeast of the border with Germany at 370 m between Lembach (Lower Rhine) on the French and Hirschthal on the German side. It is easily accessible via the Lembach – Hirschthal connecting road as well as hiking trails. There is a parking lot near the castle.

In the distance from the playground at Gimpelhof, you can see Fleckenstein Castle.

Shortly after the Gimpelhof you can see the castle from afar, but there is still a long way to go.

We had chosen the children's playground as a rest area, the view of Fleckenstein Castle 🏰 was really nice.
