The Fleckenstein is only about 200 m southeast of the border with Germany at 370 m between Lembach (Lower Rhine) on the French and Hirschthal on the German side. It is easily accessible via the Lembach – Hirschthal connecting road as well as hiking trails. There is a parking lot near the castle.
