Impressive, Gothic, red-brick church dating from 1246; a pair of new-gothic towers was added 1905-06. Unusually, the nave and aisles run from southwest to northeast, not west-east. The interior is plain brick, with a white, vaulted ceiling.

The enormous oak standing near the northeast corner is also worth a minute.

The “Wichmannlinde” stands nearby in a roundel overlooking the water.

The church stands on the banks of the Ruppiner See on the edge of the old town of Neuruppin. The building is a gothic brick church with a neo-Gothic pair of towers. The church was built from the 1st half of the 13th century in several stages of construction. The Gothic hall church consists of a three-nave nave and a four-bay choir with polygonal finish (7 / 12th end). The two 62.5 meter high towers stand in the angles between choir and aisles. The interior is 62.5 meters long; the choir takes about half the length. [1] In the western tower is the belfry with three bells, the eastern (facing the lake) tower serves as a lookout tower. The location of the monastery on the shores of the lake determined the orientation of the church, whose choir is oriented to the northeast. The orientation differs from the usual Ostung.
