Great resting place to watch some mountaineers climbing every now and then. 😃

Hiking
The Marienwand, together with its rock towers, has been one of the most popular climbing rocks in the wild and romantic Okertal for many decades. It is located about 200 meters below the dam of the compensation basin of the Oker dam. This optically very attractive granite formation rises about 50 meters above the river bed of the Oker.

I almost thought I was the only one who found this place so beautifully idyllic - but the number of photographers who stop here has taught me otherwise.
Great spot of earth!
