The spectacular cliffs form here at their highest point the summit of the Huthberg at 604.8 meters above sea level. The view of the Okertal is breathtaking, especially at sunset. If you look closely, you can see the "old man from the mountain" - a part of the box cliffs that exactly resembles the sunken face of an old man.

Not only enjoy the first view - absolutely still looking for the way to the platform, because there is the view even better!

The exposed Kästeklippen provide a fantastic view. They are the attraction of many hikers.

Children can climb extensively here, but they also have to be careful, because the simple green railing is not very safe. A little hidden there is even a nice bench up there, which stands so that the legs inevitably can only dangle ;-) Otherwise you will certainly find a place for a rest with a very nice view on all kinds of stones and rocks!
The supposed "face of the old man" is getting on a lot now, but with imagination and with children it will be fine ;-)

The short way from the Kästehaus there is worthwhile. You will be rewarded not only with a great view of the Okertal, but also with this quirky rock formation 🙂

You have to scramble a bit to get to the old one from the mountains. But you will be rewarded with a nice spot for a rest.

The visit of the "Old Man", as the Kästeklippe is also called, is almost an obligation on this wonderful tour. The Kästeklippe looks like an old man. The face is clearly visible. Eyes, nose and even the mouth are visible.
The view into the Okertal an unforgettable experience.
Just follow the path and signs from the "Kästehaus".
