About MOF

Small round in bright sunshine.I have to admit that I was a bit shocked at how many day tourists were here on Sunday. I had rather expected to mostly meet other "locals". License plates also came from Berlin, Halle and Hanover. Very, very many from Magdeburg ...In the forest it was still empty.

I didn't really think I'd do another bike tour this late in the year. But the weather was so nice that I actually had no other choice. There was of course a little mud. Good thing I was too lazy to put on winter tires. The whole thing is much more fun and a lot more challenging ...So sometimes it was a slide - but it was still super nice.

Just in case you haven't noticed: It's November 15th. And I was cycling in shorts!Simply great weather - with many great highlights, bright autumn colors, and many nice people who also wanted to enjoy the weather and nature.

Since my gym is not open at the moment, I just had to get back on the saddle. In this great weather, anything else would be almost a crime. The paths were muddy and my rear wheel spun several times while the front wheel often tried to slide sideways.Since I'm on a trekking bike, such conditions are always a special challenge.Towards the end of the tour I saw another cyclist sitting on the side of the road - the bike upside down and the rear wheel removed. When I asked if the gentleman needed help, I was told that the coat does not want to go on the rim.Well, we'll manage that - what can be down can also be added again.Unfortunately, the good man had squeezed the tube during his attempt and the tire could not be inflated. So we removed the hose, found the hole, mended it and put everything back on.This time everything worked out without any problems and the nice gentleman was able to continue. All in all a nice day.

Another time along the Ilse. This time a short lap - but the route is always beautiful.Unfortunately there were two ambulances during our hike. I usually never go to such overcrowded areas on Sundays - maybe that's normal on Sundays?

The route led me from the beautiful Quedlinburg over the Hakel to Magdeburg. The hook, however small it always seemed to me, then posed a challenge in my path: the hill stretched out endlessly and didn't want to stop at all. However, that was perhaps less due to the hill itself than to the constant headwind that "accompanied" me over the entire 75 km.When I arrived in Magdeburg, I felt more like after 175 km ...
