Tips
About a wooden boardwalk at the parking lot of the Aquarium of Westerland you reach the so-called ladder of Sylt. At 26 meters, it is the highest beach staircase on the island. From the platform you can look over much of the coast.

At 26 meters, the ladder to heaven is the highest stairway on the island. It extends amidst the dunes in the south of Westerland. After climbing the 95 or 105 steps (from the beach side), you will be rewarded with a wonderful view.Today on February 16th, 2023 was thick foggy soup. Neither the beach nor the sea could be seen.
