The Nuremberg Weinstadel is an impressive medieval half-timbered house on the banks of the Pegnitz River. At 48 meters long, it is considered one of the largest half-timbered buildings in Germany. Built in the 15th century, it originally served as a hospice and later as a wine store, hence its current name. Today, the Weinstadel houses a student residence and is a popular photo subject, especially alongside the neighboring water tower and the Henkersteg bridge.

Great half-timbered houses on the Pegnitz like the hangman's house here on the old stone bridge.
