Best Hikes to Pegnitz Valley Cliffs and Waterfalls

Tips

  • Simply a great landscape with steep cliffs on both sides of the gently flowing Pegnitz and the two old railway bridges. Unless a train is passing by, it really is a quiet, scenic route.

  • A beautiful cycling and hiking trail leads through the valley right next to the Pegnitz. There is something to discover everywhere, rock gnomes, climbing walls and various animals make this path something very special.

  • The circular route is very varied. It leads on the Pegnitz through the valley, over meadows on hills and through rocky forest. However, it didn't take us 50 minutes, but about 2.5 hours with breaks.
