The historic town square is one of the most beautiful in Central Europe. Magnificent buildings preserve the flair of centuries past. The town square impresses not only with its picturesque architecture but also with a unique atmosphere that combines tradition and modernity.

Burghausen is a wonderful little town on the Salzach. The place is divided into the Old, the New Town and the castle. Parking is available at the castle and in the new town in a large variety for free. But I would always prefer a place in the underground car park of the new town, because from there you can reach everything within walking distance in a few minutes. Incidentally, the visit to the Longest Castle in the world is also free. Only those who want to visit the torture tower or the castle from inside will be asked to pay. In addition to the castle, a visit to the old town is highly recommended.
