Linteler Weiden Observation Tower

Another interesting observation tower in the field. The surroundings are very quiet and I also like the view from above. A garden bench next to it would be good, but this works too.

The Linteler Weiden observation tower (also known as willow basket) on the side arm of the Hamme between Tietjenshütte and Scharmbeckstotel (location • more pictures) was presented to the public at the beginning of March 2011 as the second of initially three observation towers planned as part of the “Hammeniederung” GR project.
As part of a "nature-friendly network of paths", the tower is intended to serve public relations and visitor management. The approach is not easy to find for those unfamiliar with the area.
Approach either via Lintel (then keep right at the waterworks) or via the newly created path past the glider airfield (not yet or only partially listed on google maps), access via “Hinter dem Hafen” and “Alter Damm”.
