Around 1250, Kraft von Boxberg built Lichteneck Castle, which was presumably destroyed by lightning in the mid-15th century. Today, one can enjoy a wonderful view of the Kocher Valley from here.

The castle ruins can be reached by stairs near the gatekeeper's house Ingelfingen, coming from the south through the vineyards or coming from the north (K2382) through the forest.
From here you have a wonderful view of Ingelfingen and the surrounding Kochertal valley and can take a short break on the benches in front of the ruin to enjoy the view.
