Freiberg's second oldest church was built in the years 1185-1190 in Romanesque style. In a fire in 1484, the church was almost completely destroyed, leaving only the towers and side walls. Until 1578, the reconstruction took. The nave was rebuilt as a gothic hall church. It was redecorated in the Baroque in the mid-18th century. Striking is the coat of arms at the entrance.
