In the vicinity of the wooden planks on the moorland in the Diersforther forest you can admire the beautiful dune landscape.

The path is very sandy here. Strollers are not suitable for this route.

In the north is the Stemkens Heide with its inland dunes, dry sand grass and sand heaths. They represent the open, dry and lean areas of the Diersfordt forest. Sand lizards and woodlarks feel at home here. What used to be kept open through forest grazing is now dogged by large game. Red deer, fallow deer, mouflon and wild boar live in the 350 hectare game gate.

Wonderful hiking trails and there is a lot to discover to the right and left.
