The Eifel-Blick Perdsley offers visitors a great view of the Rur valley. The Perdsley can be reached via the Eifelsteig and the local circular hiking trails 27, 37 and 57 as well as the Ahr-Venn-Weg.

The "Eifel Views" are an initiative of the German-Belgian Nature Park
and from Rureifel-Tourismus e. V .. There are particularly beautiful viewpoints in the Eifel.
(There are over 60 of them and IF THE KOMOOT TEAM DOESN'T DELETE THEM, I'll try to collect them all!)

From the Perdsley the visitor looks at a height of about 400 meters above sea level in the direction of Monschau in the picturesque Rur valley. The name is made up of the terms "Perd" for horse and "Ley" for rock. This name indicates the earlier use of this place.

Up until the beginning of the 20th century, dead horses and other cattle were said to have been thrown down the 75 meter high rock in order to get rid of the carcasses. Down in the Rur valley, these were then "disposed of" either by the fish in the Rur or by the animals living in the valley, such as wild boars, foxes and crows.
