About the name: The first "Saupferch" (on the site of the forest restaurant "Zur Saupferch") was in 1755, when shepherds brought their herds of pigs here in summer and autumn - to fatten them with acorns and beech nuts. After that, the "Saupferch" was, among other things, the seat of a forester from 1954 to 1964.
