The new (2019) restaurant "Das Scheibenhardt" is open every day from 11:30 a.m. (Saturdays from 10 a.m.). The kitchen is open until 9:30 p.m.
I know Mr. Bader's first restaurant in Rüppur. His cuisine is recommended. Here upscale gastronomy.

Scheibenhardt Castle is a former hunting lodge on the southwestern edge of Karlsruhe.
The castle was expanded as a hunting lodge from 1698. It is a three-storey building with a central hall, which is connected to a garden by outside stairs. In the war against France (1701-1714), Scheibenhardt was included in the lines of defense. It is surrounded by a low ring-shaped rampart and moat.

Scheibenhardt was extensively modernized in 1754 under Margrave Ludwig Georg. The central hall received a painted wallpaper that shows pictures of native and exotic birds. The court painter Heinrich Lihl was commissioned with the design. The square was first mentioned in 1150, and in 1501 it came into Baden ownership. In 1926 the district came to Bulach and thus in 1929 to Karlsruhe.

Today there are studios of the State Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe in the castle. The Hofgut Scheibenhardt Golf Club is located on the surrounding area and is also home to the “Das Scheibenhardt” restaurant.
