In the north-east area many songbirds can often be observed in the bushes, even the artificial turf sports field and the closely mowed areas on its north and south sides often house a few thrushes, pipits and wheatears. At the northwest corner of the playing field is a favorite roosting spot for ring ouzels and stonechats. The bushes to the south of the hostel and around the small BBQ area are also excellent spots for roosting songbirds.
