    Important facilities at the Zoo:
Elephant House – one of the most modern in Europe, with an area of 6,000 m², inhabited by African elephants and Cape hyraxes.
Aviary – a free-flight hall, where you can see, among others, the Bali starling, the chestnut-headed dove, the purple turaco and the kea.
Herpetarium – an exhibition of reptiles and amphibians, including crocodiles, turtles, pythons, lizards and the venomous rattlesnake.
Giraffe House and Monkey House – an enclosure for giraffes surrounded by a moat, as well as spaces for monkeys, such as pygmy marmosets and baboons.
Monkey House – a home for lowland gorillas and chimpanzees. Hippopotamus and shark tank – a facility for Nile hippos and sharks, including the only sand tiger in Poland.

Invertebrate room – a presentation of insects, arachnids, crayfish and snails.

Australian enclosure – a space for kangaroos, emus, cassowaries and black swans.

Aquarium – a historic building with a collection of sea and freshwater fish, including piranhas, rays and corals.

Fairytale zoo – a zone for children where you can feed the animals under the care of employees.

40 hectares, 12,000 animals belonging to 500 species. You can come with your family and spend the whole day here surrounded by nature :). You can see bears, look at feeding seals and hippos, look at nice giraffes and watch chimpanzees. You can also go to the terrarium and aquarium, see different species of birds and tropical fish.
However, the ZOO is also a difficult war story - after the German invasion of Poland, it was bombed and the animals killed, eaten or taken to the Reich. The hero of those times became the garden director, Jan Żabiński. In his home, which is in the ZOO, he hid people in need of help, mainly Jews who had escaped from the ghetto.

35 PLN for entry. A large part looks neglected. The enclosures are empty "because there used to be something there". Dirty and not because of the animals. Well, it didn't make a good impression on me. I hope they will improve this facility even because it is a zoo in the capital of the country..
