The first bridge over Magdeburg Harbor was built in 1871 and was called the Meyerstrasse Bridge. It was replaced in 1931 by a 31-meter-long steel tied-arch bridge without wind bracing, which was called the Magdeburg Bridge.
During the construction of HafenCity, the bridge was repaved with stone paving and benches, designed by the Spanish architect Elisabeth Galí i Camprubí, closed to motorized traffic, and renamed after the South Korean port city of Busan.

The Busan Bridge, formerly the Magdeburg Bridge, is a pedestrian bridge over the Magdeburg harbor. It connects Osakaallee with Korea Street and the Maritime Museum. It was built in 1931 as an arch bridge and is 36 m long and 14 m wide.

The Busan Bridge is a tied arch bridge in Hamburg's HafenCity that is used for pedestrians and cyclists.
It leads in a southwest-northeast direction from the Störtebeker Ufer in front of Osakaallee south of the Störtebecker monument across the Magdeburg harbor to the corner of Elbtorpromenade and Koreastraße in front of Kaispeicher B.
Further south, the Magdeburg Bridge runs over the Magdeburg harbor.
